here is the last one i did for the illuminati show. " it's all good" sold at the pre show, so gary the curator at copronason asked if i could do another for the opening, so i cranked this one out faster than i would have liked (1 week, after work hours)

awesome. these last two crack me up, mostly the thumbs up and the fact that they are both so akwardly grim, yet playful. for some reason the fact that this is called dork keeps me laughing.
further, i cannot believe how you can crank them out like that, but well done, and congrats on selling the other already.

thanks richard. that's a great description, awkwardly grim, yet playful. that's how i feel about them, but never really found the words!
and regarding the crankage, i hate to do it that way, but i wanted to give it my all. it's a pretty big show. i didn't want to miss out to show alongside a lot of artists whose work i really love.
anyway, i literally worked myself sick (i am still recovering from the flu as we speak).

i didn't use any reference for this one. not time for any of that. i may have looked at my hands once or twice, but i have been mostly studying hand anatomy lately (for doing "it's all good") using "drawing dynamic hands" by burne hogarth. that's a good one.

amazing as allways man the expression is wicked i love its long stare allmost lost your last few pieces have been great. somtimes working fast really turns out for the best hey thanks. that was exactly what i was going for, that lost expression. kind of like the faces on so many of the old people in nursing homes- they know this is the end and they are helpless, lost and afraid. i have an image in my mind that is a little more precise, i think i got pretty close with this one, but i want to do a different one to try and nail it. i started one before, but it wasn't working and i set it aside. btw, i just sketched the next painting i want to do last night. i am itching to start it, but there is so much chaos going on at home right now, it's really a crazy time. thanks a lot for the encouragement.
